First draft
When a Liverpool library begins receiving books that have no record of being published, junior archivist Ellen Voss notices that each one predicts a small but terrible event in the city. As she tries to trace the source, she finds the catalogue itself is changing, quietly rewriting who is allowed to exist in the building. The deeper she goes, the more the library seems determined to keep its secrets in circulation.
