Henry Walker writes across horror and gothic, with a particular interest in character, atmosphere, revision and the details that turn a manuscript into a finished book.

First draft
When a failing municipal library in Leeds begins receiving anonymous returns of books that were never checked out, the night staff discover the volumes are tied to a long-buried act of violence in the building’s foundations. As the catalogue starts changing itself, the library becomes less a place of storage than a machine for remembering what the city has tried to forget.
