First draft
Sixteen-year-old Elin Morgan returns to her coastal town in north Wales for a summer she expected to waste, only to find her older sister’s old sketchbook hidden in the back of a charity shop donation box. The drawings inside map places that matter to people no one seems to notice, and they lead Elin into a quiet search through family secrets, local gossip and the version of her sister everyone else has decided to keep. As the town starts to feel smaller and stranger, Elin has to decide whether some truths are worth upsetting the neat story her family has built around them.
