The Cartographer of Ash
In a kingdom where old roads vanish overnight and new ones appear where no map should allow them, a reluctant mapmaker is sent to chart the ash-choked borderlands before the realm loses its shape altogether. As he follows a trail of broken milestones, forgotten shrines and hostile border towns, he begins to suspect the land is being rewritten by someone with a very human reason for doing it.
