On a chain of half-forgotten orbital stations at the edge of a trade route, a systems archivist starts finding deliberate gaps in the records, each one pointing to a vanished convoy and a decision someone has spent years burying. As pressure builds from station authorities, smugglers and a distant fleet command, she has to decide whether the truth is worth reopening a conflict everyone else has learned to live around.
