The Last House on St. Jude's Road
When a struggling book designer inherits a narrow Victorian house in Southampton, he finds that the building keeps producing pages of a novel no one remembers writing. Each chapter seems to predict a different resident's worst decision, and the house becomes harder to leave the more of the manuscript he reads. What starts as a practical problem with damp and paperwork turns into a slow, personal haunting with very poor timing.
