The Lanterns Under Bracken Street
In a rain-soaked city where old streets still remember older rules, a careful bookbinder starts finding hand-cut lanterns hidden in the margins of damaged volumes. Each one leads her to a forgotten bargain that is leaking into the present, and to a part of the city that has been quietly bargaining for survival for years. She has to decide whether preserving the past is the same thing as letting it live.
