The Hollow Between Lanterns
In a town built around a yearly lantern festival, sixteen-year-old Iona Vale discovers that the lights do not only guide the living home. They also keep something old and hungry from crossing back into the streets, and the barrier is starting to fail. To fix it, she has to work with the one boy everyone blames for her brother’s disappearance, while deciding which family truths are worth burning down.
