Seventeen-year-old Mara Keene spends her evenings helping her dad run a failing late-night café near Portsmouth Harbour, where she knows the regulars, the timetable, and exactly how close the place is to closing for good. When she finds a stack of unsent letters hidden in the café’s lost property drawer, she starts delivering them in secret, only to discover that one of the letters is tied to a family mistake her mother has spent years pretending never happened.
