When a freelance copy editor in Galway is hired to help rescue a failing indie romance novel, she finds herself working closely with the book's stubborn author, who is trying to finish a manuscript while his family business quietly falls apart. As deadlines, revisions and half-finished chapters pile up, the pair begin to notice that the story they are fixing on the page is trailing behind the one forming between them. The trouble is that both of them are very good at improving other people's work and much less skilled at saying what they want.
