When Mara Keane takes a temporary cataloguing job in a decaying coastal library, she finds that several local histories have been quietly altered or removed. The missing records all point back to Carrigmore House, a ruined saltworks manor where the tides seem to keep their own account of what happened there. As Mara follows the gaps, she begins to suspect the house is not haunted by a single past, but by the people who benefited from making it disappear.
