When a temporary cataloguer takes a job in the locked archives of a crumbling Yorkshire hospital, she finds a series of patient records that should not exist, each one describing the same woman being admitted under different names across different decades. As the building prepares for closure, the records begin to alter themselves, and the staff start to remember events that never happened. What looks like an old institutional mystery turns into something far more intimate and hungry.
