Early draft
When a small public library in a coastal Welsh town begins receiving anonymous amendments to its old borrowing records, archivist Nia Merrick notices that the changes point to a long-closed disappearance. As she follows the paper trail, she realises someone is using the library's ordinary routines to hide an old lie, and that the truth may be tied to her own family history. The deeper she goes, the more the town's calm habits start to look like a very tidy form of concealment.
