Early draft
In a near-future Oxford, a technician cataloguing a failing memory archive discovers that some of the stored lives have started to change after being replayed too often. When the archive's owners move to erase the corrupted records, she has to decide whether memory is something to preserve, repair, or let die. The book is as much about what people choose to keep as it is about the machinery that pretends to do the keeping.
