In 1816, a Newcastle shipwright's daughter is drawn into a covert race to recover a cargo of stolen charts before they are used to wreck a convoy on the North Sea. As she follows the trail from the Tyne docks to a storm-battered coastal fort, she has to decide how much risk she is willing to take for people who have no idea she is trying to save them.
