When a practical library technician in Plymouth is asked to help rescue a struggling independent bookshop from closure, she discovers the shop's most troublesome regular is the very man she once blamed for a spectacularly awkward first date. Their forced truce turns into a slow, inconvenient attraction as they try to save the shop without making a mess of their own lives. Between shelves, events and a very opinionated community, both of them have to decide what kind of future is worth keeping.
