The Salt Archive
In a coastal city built on old sea magic, a clerk who catalogues drowned names discovers that the archive she works in has been quietly editing the dead out of history. When she is forced into an uneasy alliance with a disgraced tide-mage, the two of them follow the missing records into a deeper conspiracy beneath the harbour. The more they uncover, the more the city seems willing to drown its own past to keep its future intact.
