When a meticulous library catalogue assistant discovers that the man she has been quietly arguing with online is the local architect threatening to turn her branch into luxury flats, she decides the safest course is professional hostility. Then a damaged community archive, a badly timed renovation, and one very public misunderstanding force them into working together. The result is less enemies-to-lovers than two people learning how much of their lives they have been shelving.
