The Lanterns Under Glass
On the island city of Cuan, lanterns trapped behind blessed glass keep old spirits from crossing into the streets at night. When sixteen-year-old Maeve discovers one of the lanterns is fading, she is drawn into a secret trade in stolen light and a history the city has spent years trying to forget. The deeper she goes, the less certain she becomes about whether the spirits are the real danger.
