The Last Catalogue
When a temporary archivist is sent to sort the closed stacks of a derelict Nottingham library, she finds a set of uncatalogued books that seem to rewrite themselves overnight. Each volume contains fragments of missing local lives, and the more she reads, the more the library begins to remember her back. What starts as a practical job becomes a slow, nasty argument with whatever is living in the shelves.
