The Last Branch
Sixteen-year-old Lila Morgan is spending her summer helping to catalogue the last surviving branch library in her town, which is due to close at the end of term. When she finds a hidden set of index cards tucked inside a withdrawn book, she starts following clues that point to a long-buried local scandal and to the reason her best friend has been avoiding her all year. The more Lila digs, the more she has to decide whether saving the library matters more than telling the truth.
