The Quiet Between Orbits
On a chain of half-abandoned trade stations at the edge of a collapsing shipping route, a systems auditor discovers that a routine salvage claim is hiding a much larger disappearance. The deeper she digs, the more she finds that the stations are being quietly stripped of people, records, and even the evidence that they ever existed. It becomes a fight to stop a corporate cleanup from erasing an entire corridor of human life.
