Behind the stories
Callum Morgan is a young adult writer interested in how stories work, how readers respond to them and how technology is changing the way writers create and publish.
A story only works when somebody has something to lose.

First draft
After her older sister disappears from their small coastal town, seventeen-year-old Marnie starts tracing the ordinary places they used to share: the late-night bookshop, the bus station café, the platform where the last train always feels one minute too late. What begins as a search for answers turns into a quiet reckoning with family lies, friendship that has gone stale, and the version of home she thought she understood. The novel leans on small details, local atmosphere and the uneasy feeling that people can vanish without ever technically leaving.
