When nineteen-year-old Mara Vale finds a map that redraws itself every time she lies, she discovers a hidden district beneath Oxford where streets shift to keep old bargains buried. To find her missing brother, she has to work with a sharp-tongued apprentice mapmaker who knows the city is built on something far stranger than history. The deeper they go, the more Mara realises the truth is not just hidden in the map, but in what it has been asked to erase.
