The Archive of Quiet Signals
On a rain-soaked fringe settlement built around a failing communications array, a systems archivist begins hearing fragments of messages that should not exist. The signals seem to map old disappearances, broken agreements, and a hidden layer of the settlement's history. As the archive starts rewriting itself, she has to decide whether preserving the record matters more than protecting the people still living inside it.
