The Cartographer of Ash
In a country where roads shift after rain and old borders are still argued over by ghosts, a practical mapmaker is hired to redraw a ruined trade route before winter cuts the south in half. The work becomes less straightforward when she finds her own vanished brother marked on a map that should not exist, leading her into half-buried forts, river shrines, and a quarrel between rulers who would rather keep the land unreadable.
