About While You Were Away

Don’t get me wrong. I’m a nice guy and a lot of the story that I’m about to tell you is going to make me seem otherwise, but hear me out. You will likely agree that the majority of human beings walking on Earth right at this very moment, are without a single clue of what they need - only what they want. It’s true. Think about it. The girl that seems to be perpetually single is desperately searching for the person she will later call her ‘other half,’ yet that same woman hasn’t bothered to change her strategy for finding partners at all over the past decade. What was it that Einstein said? Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. And that’s just one example. Or the person who believes they can overcome drug addiction - or any kind of addiction for that matter - entirely on their own. They have made countless attempts with the same result and every time, they internalize the defeat. “I’m a constant failure.” No, you’re just insane. That is why I do what I do for the people I choose to do it for. I help get people to where they want to be sooner - and not in a motivational speaker or life coach kind of way, but in a dark hero kind of way. I’ve been doing it for decades for all sorts of people, and from the moment I first saw her, I knew she was next. I fell in love with watching her from a distance, and I couldn’t get enough of the moments she would let me watch her up close. But after a while, my favorite moments of watching her became the ones where she hadn’t a clue I was watching at all. It was a fine dance learning how to make sure she knew I was paying attention, but not in a way that would prompt suspicion. You know, there are those partners that ask what almost seems like too many questions. I sought to be the opposite of that. I would ask questions in an effort to show interest, but most of what I learned about Lucy, I gained from watching. It was her fault, really. She knew what she was doing to me. I mean, if you saw her, you’d know exactly the kind of girl I’m talking about. She was the kind of woman that teased you from any distance, no matter intent. The way nature crimped her hair would have the ocean waves envious. I was mesmerized. Her eyes told stories I craved to read and every inch of her body became the cliffhanger for my dreams at night. I wanted her, and I couldn’t stomach the option of never having her. After a while, she became the underlying reason for everything I did. Everything I did, I did for her. She doesn’t understand that she needs me, but she will soon, and this is the story of how I made it happen.
