Alex, the grandchild of two very rich men, is rescued by Harry and his friends. About the Author Donald Elliott graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1961 with a BS in Physics. His working years were spent in nuclear and environmental research labs, and his writing then was of a technical nature. He has always been fascinated by the schemes some people use to get money without working for it. In a futile attempt to avoid being taken in himself, he keeps a file of those scams and con games. Since his retirement he likes to write thrillers telling about some of these schemes and the people who carry them out. In that process he created the lovable con man Harry Ward and his extended family.
