About Vampires

Award-Winning Finalist in the General Horror category of the 2022 American Fiction Awards! Brian Stanhope is a millennial nearing thirty. He’s tired of the constant existential dread plaguing his generation, and more importantly, his conscience. In a world of drug addictions, abusive relationships, toxic friendships, toxic sexual desire, financial insecurity, and family tragedy, only one thing in life brings him joy: writing serial killer fanfiction. Fetishists from all over the internet adore the way Brian's words kill, and pay him handsomely for his work. As Brian wrestles with the morality of his creations, and struggles to keep the source of his income a secret, the real-life murder of a close friend shakes his reality to the core. At long last, Brian is forced to confront what it really means to be a vampire.
