About Valsesia - Juliette (English Ed.) A Thriller in the Italian Alps
Autumn 2003: In the small and isolated alpine Valley called Valsesia, in the north of Italy it has hardly snowed for a decade now. After a night marked by an exceptional snowfall, the manager of a local company is found dead, chained to a table, mutilated and suffocated in a leather mask. Dino Mazzone, the Marshal of the Carabinieri of Varallo, the valley maintown, takes charge of an investigation that must be closed quickly, in order to undercut the relaunch of winter tourism. The victim's last phone call refers to an online advert from a young dark girl: "Evil mistress looking for submissives to humiliate. The deserving ones will become my slaves" - Red Sonya. Forced by suspicions and fears, the girl decides to help Dino follow the traces of a certain Juliette, among snowy mountain pastures and murky sadomasochistic environments. Traces that draw a spiral of blood, sadism and revenge, from which old events that have stained the valley's past resurface.
