After believing his wife is having an affair, alcohol and bitterness drives Josiah Valencia's life in a downward spiral. Months later, he finds himself in divorce, a child custody battle and now without a job. Without anything else to lose, Josiah takes his severance package and essentially everything he owns on a last attempt vacation to clear his mind. Feeling too far gone in his depression, suicide feels like the only answer to his problems. The suicide is a failure, like everything else lately; however, when he comes to his senses and realizes his mistake, he finds himself alone in the world....or so he thinks.In the process of trying to make sense of it all, he crosses paths with a very large, yet seemingly domesticated brown bear and befriends him.The two become acquainted and keep each other company while they try to cope with this strange, lonely world. That is until they find out they are not alone after all.
