Her mother hires an eerily charming, friendly and slightly awkward handyman named Tyler to fix the kitchen panel under the sink, but beneath his polite smile lies something far more sinister. What begins with casual comments and lingering glances quickly escalates into something Clara can't explain. Until that one day, when he doesn't want to leave. Now missing without a trace, Clara is caught in a life or death situation after Tyler referred to her as the special one, the chosen one. While her hometown launches an immediate investigation and search, her military father races home to a nightmare he never imagined, Clara must piece together the truth hidden within the broken and unfinished wooden panels.
