The Special Agent in Charge of the Charlotte Regional FBI Offices, Charles Thompson, was in the process of conducting a confidential investigation of a Mafia Family headed by Omar Khoury. Khoury was a ruthless killer and dealt in Drugs, Prostitution, and many other illegal activities. Khoury had numerous politicians and law enforcement personal on his payroll. Just as Thompson was ready to convene a Grand Jury, , he was called to Washington to testify in a closed session to a congressional committee. Khoury was using his influence to crush the investigation. Driven by a Khoury plot, the plane to Washington was hijacked and later crashed on a remote island off the Columbia, South American Coast. Thompson was captured by Khoury's goons and taken to a remote location in Columbia to be interrogated prior to being killed. During the flight, Thompson met a beautiful lady by the name of Karma Overfield. While in captivity, they fell in love. Throughout their ordeal, Thompson and Overfield were assisted by a man with unusual physic powers and a strange, inexplicable object. The Tangled Web is a mystery thriller which contains many twists and turns before it ends in a breath taking conclusion. The explosive story will keep you guessing throughout.
