Alexander Danilov is a man on a mission. Aging FSB Major Danilov is determined to find those responsible for murdering his boss, friend and mentor, Kislitsyn. With the backing of a Moscow prosecutor he conducts an “off books” investigation based on their suspicion that someone in authority in Russia was responsible for poisoning Kislitsyn. The twists and turns in Alexander’s investigation lead him from Moscow to the UK and Cyprus, requiring him to reluctantly seek assistance from the CIA. Alexander turns for help to Bradley Powell, a veteran CIA officer, allegedly retired, who has history with his boss. As they close in on those responsible for Kislitsyn’s death they uncover the money laundering scheme he had been investigating when he was killed and connections to a funding channel the Kremlin will stop at nothing to keep secret.
