Sutton undergoes a mind-sweep, a procedure which extracts a subjects memories. These are then made available to the public to view through the PJO's mind vault. Anna and Heather are patients at the Shoreland Centre, where they have been undergoing reconstructive surgery and counselling, after suffering horrific injuries. They befriend Jessie, another patient in their bay. Jessie watches Sutton's memories using a vault information visor and becomes obsessed with his disturbing crimes. Sutton's punishment will be to feel the pain of his victims throughout his sentence and the public will vote on how long his suffering should last. Is a jail sentence really punishment enough? You decide, in this thought-provoking story, which will keep you wondering until the end.
