The world was not as it used to be. The population had divided itself into those who live during the day and those who run the streets at night. Inhaling deeply, Jacob Featherstone felt the dense night air fill his lungs and pulse through his body. The Order of Light frowned upon people who came out in the power of Night. They claimed that Darkness, and the power drawn from it, was a lesser power than that of Light. The Dark was easier to use and pushed harder and faster, but supposedly the Light would outlast, and would have more power in the long run. And, unlike the power of Darkness, the Light isn't addicting... Jake couldn't argue with them about the addicting part. But was the Light really more powerful? What would happen if he learned to harness both powers within himself? At a turning point in his life when Jake was about to leave the comforts of his family home to become a man, would his desire to embrace both Light and Dark make him more powerful, or would it tear him apart?
