About The dark cry of the moon

"Things happen in the Station, that's all. Things happen. It's been that way from the beginning..." Once again, author Charles L. Grant has called upon us to join him as a witness to the strange doings and horrific events that occur in the remote and disturbing little Connecticut town of Oxrun Station. The Dark Cry of the Moon, like its predecessor The Soft Whisper of the Dead, is written in an historical setting that serves to magnify those ghastly and unnatural events that are somehow "natural" to Ox-run Station. The Dark Cry of the Moon is the second novel of a trilogy conceived by Charles L. Grant and initiated by The Soft Whisper of the Dead. But where The Soft Whisper of the Dead concerns itself with the vampiric threat of the evil Count Brastov, The Dark Cry of the Moon places Oxrun Station under attack by a hideous night-beast "that walks on two legs" — a werewolf. Once again, Charles L. Grant has written a weird novel that is full of thrills and gore and done it in the classic fashion of the turn of the century. And once again, the Massachusetts artist R. J. Krupowicz has returned to complement the author's writing with her own unique style of fantasy illustration.
