About The Castle and the Cross Thriller
David Latimer was the Chief Curator of a large ancient castle built during the time of William the First of England. After the First Crusade, a William Friese-Gibbons brought back a friend named Hussain el-Malik to England. William also brought back some relics from The Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the form of a solid gold cross and wrote a coded Chronicle about its hiding place. The Barons travelling with him were sworn to secrecy and when they died, took the secret with them. However, the hot headed and jealous sons of the late Barons did not like the idea of el-Malik living among them. They murdered him in a most brutal manner. The curse el-Malik gave just before he died, ensured the perpetrators of his murder died most horribly and William Friese-Gibbons made sure this happened. Over time, the Chronicle was lost being hidden by William Friese-Gibbons and the secret went with him to the grave. However, several incidences occurred and David Latimer found himself in the middle of a mystery as to the whereabouts of the relics and also being followed by a gang of criminals who would stop at nothing to get hold of the very valuable Cross.
