Detective George Beaumont, still reeling from his previous case, finds himself entangled in a terrifying investigation when dismembered body parts are discovered in the bins behind local takeaways. As the body count rises and the killer's identity remains elusive, George and his team race against time to uncover the truth. However, when evidence points to Tony Shaw, a suspect from a similar case thirty years ago, George begins to question everything he believes. With the help of DS Isabella Wood and his dedicated team, he delves deeper into the dark past, uncovering shocking secrets and twisted family ties that threaten to shatter the very foundation of the investigation. As the lines between victim and culprit blur, George must confront his own demons and the ghosts of cases past to catch the killer before it's too late. But when the truth is finally revealed, it will test the limits of his sanity and the strength of his resolve. Set within the suburbs of Leeds, West Yorkshire, this fast-paced British detective novel is a thrilling murder mystery that will keep you guessing until the very end.
