About The Body: An Asian Thriller (A Sam Steadings Adventure)

Hong Kong, 1990, and British expat Sam Steadings is busy learning his craft after completing 36 weeks of training as a Probationary Inspector at the Royal Hong Kong Police Training School less than a year earlier. Inexperienced but eager to impress, Sam’s first 12 months on the mean and unpredictable streets of Kowloon have pushed him to his limits. After developing a Jonah-like reputation around the police station, Sam finds himself ricocheting from disaster to disaster as he faces constant challenges and ruthless criminals. His efforts are not being aided by an eccentric Divisional Commander, fierce internal politics, and a tangled love life. This tense thriller is the fifth in the series following The Division, The District, The Team, and The Camp. The Body sees Sam unwittingly tangle with grasping drug cartels and competing international interests as he fights to track down a missing woman and identify an unknown body in a mystery that the Force doesn’t care about and the world wants him to forget.
