‘Both say the other is lying. Both are telling the truth.’ Two weeks away from almost guaranteed victory in the town’s local elections, Owen Atkinson about to reach the pinnacle of his twenty five year career when both his campaign and reputation are suddenly threatened by the arrest of his eighteen year old son, Thomas, on suspicion of rape. When Liv accuses Thomas of assaulting her, the lives of the Pembroke and Atkinson family quickly begin to unravel, and secrets that could destroy all of their lives begin to emerge. As Liv and Tom both fight to be believed, someone is watching and waiting. Someone who knows not only what happened that night, but why. Someone who is playing a game…….and who knows the person who is actually to blame.
