About The Aquaphobic Canoeist: When Fear Meets Murder; Warbrick/McQualter Crime Thriller Series Book 2

The Aquaphobic Canoeist: A Gripping International Thriller of Murder, Corruption, and Revenge "Some Fears keep you safe - other get you killed." When Rory Colquhoun reads about his estranged sister’s death in the newspaper, he knows something is horribly wrong. Aileen was found drowned in a remote reservoir—but she had been terrified of water her entire life. She wouldn’t even go near a swimming pool, let alone a reservoir in the dead of night. Determined to uncover the truth, Rory joins forces with Detective Sergeant Susan Fellingham and DCI Lindsay Warbrick, launching an investigation that leads them deep into the dark underworld of financial fraud, illicit dealings, and a tangled web of deception. At the centre of it all is Ramero Morales, Aileen’s manipulative husband—an economist with a sinister past, accused of exploiting young students and running a black-market empire of illegal aircraft parts. As the detectives chase down clues from the quiet British countryside to the highest levels of global corruption, the case grows more dangerous with every step. But Morales isn’t working alone. Powerful enemies are watching. Dangerous secrets are waiting to be uncovered. And when billionaire power-players Eduardo and Lucia Roni enter the fray, the stakes rise to a whole new level. The closer they get to the truth, the higher the price becomes. Will they expose a global crime syndicate, or will the cost of justice be too high?
