About the book
About Something at the Window: Part One
After another young woman is brutally murdered in her home, Sarah realizes there might be a serial killer in Nashua—and she fits the victim profile perfectly. The latest victim, Bethany, is the fourth woman to be murdered in Sarah’s neighborhood. Part of a pattern, she’s within the same age range as the other victims and lives in the same neighborhood. All are traits the victims share with Sarah. Bethany also happened to be in the same emergency department that Sarah was working in. After sustaining a broken arm during an attack by a stalker, Bethany stormed out when the police couldn’t—or wouldn’t—help. Sarah is no stranger to stalking; her ex-boyfriend Travis made her life hell. After being followed and even having her home broken into, she moved to Nashua for a fresh start. Vigilant and a little paranoid, Sarah isn’t too worried about a nameless serial killer. Armed with some pretty impressive home security, loyal dogs, and a gated community to protect her, the idea of being the newest victim seems impossible. Besides, the only people from her old life that know where she lives are her parents, and her one real connection in Nashua is her best friend and co-worker, Corey—a man who, despite all of his sassy comebacks, is fiercely loyal to her. But when Sarah realizes she’s being followed once again, her old and new lives collide. She has to figure out who to trust before she ends up victim number five.
