About Shadows

In the small town of Tehachapi, California, life is simple and quiet. Nothing really happens there, but Mikenna doesn't mind. She has all the things that she wants. She is a cheerleader, has loving parents, great friends, and a hot boyfriend. The start of her senior year will be just the same as before, perfect. Then the new boy Landon moves to town. Landon is everything that Mikenna doesn't want, yet she is drawn to him. Every time she is near him, she feels an electric pull that she cannot understand. Avoiding Landon at all costs has become Mikenna's goal, but that is awfully hard to do when he sits right next to her every day in class. Landon seems to know more about her than she does, and Mikenna worries that her perfect life is about to come crashing down around her. One night, Mikenna overhears her parents discussing her. They have been keeping a secret from her, and Mikenna realizes she is in danger, but from whom? Who can she trust when she doesn't even know the secrets of her own past? Soon, Mikenna will discover things about her past she wishes had remained buried. She will be tossed into a world of magic, deception, power, love, and danger. Mikenna is going to be powerful, and everyone knows it. What they don't know is if Mikenna's power will destroy the world of magic or save it.
