About Shadow Puppets: A twisted psychological crime thriller (Mac Lillard Mystery Series)

A woman is kidnapped in broad daylight, and Mac Lillard is a witness. But no one believes him. Not even himself. Private investigator Mac Lillard wanders into Chattanooga, Tennessee after fleeing North Carolina. He’s not looking for work. He’s looking for an escape. Bloodied, road-weary, and at the end of his rope, he hopes this new town can offer some sanctuary. Instead, he winds up in the hospital, where he meets a friendly and beautiful nurse named Tiffany Hampton. Tiffany volunteers to take an experimental vaccine in front of a crowd of news cameras, hoping her employer will appreciate her initiative. When Lillard leaves the hospital he witnesses something he shouldn’t have, and is drawn into a deadly game. A game where nothing is as it seems. Which is clear to him after he returns to the hospital and finds Tiffany Hampton there, safe and sound. Like nothing ever happened. But there is something… different about her. Anyone could be made into a reflection of someone else with enough silicone and glue. Join Mac Lillard in his new mind-bending quest to uncover what’s really going on in this town. Is this a massive cover-up operation? Or is he only chasing shadows?
