About Secrets on the Wall

Magic wasn't lost. It was imprisoned. And she is the key. When sixteen-year-old Genevieve Emberlyn brushes her hand against a dusty museum painting, the last thing she expects is to awaken a mythical creature-or stumble into a hidden world lurking in plain sight. Suddenly, she has the power to bring magical beings to life, each one tied to an ancient Clan, trapped for centuries in their painted prisons. But magic shouldn't exist in the Twelve Cities, and Genevieve's newfound ability puts a target on her back. When her best friend, Nox, betrays her, she's forced to flee for her life-hunted by the King himself, a vengeful tyrant who shattered her family and won't stop until he destroys her too. The deeper Genevieve dives into generations of lies, the more she realizes she may be the magical beings' only hope for freedom. With her fiercely loyal sister Louanne, a mischievous shapeshifting golden retriever named Waffles, and a dangerously alluring stranger hiding secrets of his own, she must race against time to restore the balance between humans and magic-before it's too late. Secrets on the Wall is a thrilling YA fantasy filled with unexpected allies, unbreakable sisterhood, and a reluctant heroine discovering just how far she'll go to protect the people she loves.
