Rick Prescott is following up a report of a lost elderly couple who reported that a town in the Arizona desert shimmered. While they are investigating the report, the town fades in and out. This leads to Sarina Lake’s kidnapping and later, her life is threatened. The desert reveals an strange ship hidden under its sand. Rick and Sarina climb aboard, and they find an ailing alien. The alien gives them information that sends them to the Great Slave Lake outside of Yellowknife, North West Territories. Their searching is compromised when an elderly hermit is killed taking his secret to the grave. Searching the hermits cabin, they find a journal revealing clues that lead them to unveil the mans identity and hints at a hidden unearthly object. Outside of Yellowknife, they discover another sunken spaceship just offshore of the Great Slave Lake. They barely survive several attempts on their lives, one of which involves being trapped on the craft as it floods.
