On the night of February 21st, 2028, humanity believe themselves to be blessed with the appearance of an enormous celestial object called Melohs, a breathtaking and mesmerizing comet that holds the attention of anybody caught underneath its stunning light and pink aura captive. Humanity looks towards the sky, cheering and celebrating as the comet soars closely above, raining down upon the Earth a magnificent display of stardust. On the night of February 22nd, 2028, humanity now looks towards the sky and begs for a peaceful death, an escape from the hell released on Earth as millions of individuals become infected with a deadly agent nicknamed the Lazarus Virus, due to its capabilities of killing the host and returning those infected back to life as a ravenous, nightmarish shell of the person they once were. With the government failing to contain the virus, those who are infected are hunted and sought out for, and with no word of a cure, humanity is now to be tested, tested on their ability to learn to trust again, to forgive, to endure, to accept and to remember what it means to be human in order to survive. One individual is set to receive the hardest test of all. Leviticus Véga, a young adult who must find a way to protect his pregnant mother and soon to be born sibling from hordes of vicious, cannibalistic infected, blood-thirsty scavengers who kill for sheer joy, and groups of individuals that will stop at nothing to gain power and rise in this new world. How much of Levi's humanity will he lose in order to fulfill his promise and find a new home in the middle of this mad world? More importantly, how much time does he have before he succumbs to the Lazarus Virus that he himself is infected with?
