While it seems the most efficient way to get from her townhouse in Fairfax to the courthouse downtown is via the Washington DC Metro, the journey turns anything but ordinary. By the third stop on the Metro’s Orange Line, Diaz starts picking up passengers on her train that don’t exactly fit the profile of Washington’s typical govie commuters who make up most Metro riders. These gangbangers are up early, and up to no good when all hell breaks loose at Rosslyn Station, last stop in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This fast-paced thriller alternates between Kiki Diaz’s first ten years with the department, and her harrowing experience, initially to get to Federal Court downtown, and eventually, just to survive a coordinated attack on the Metro system, the White House, or Kiki Diaz herself. Buckle up for the ride because Rosslyn Station is Dirty Harry meets The Taking of Pelham One Two Three.
