About Remnant of the Rift: An Epic Sci-Fi Fantasy Adventure (The Riftglass Chronicles Book 1)

Before the cataclysm, Steele Ardent belonged to a world of helicopters, skyscrapers, and nearly limitless power. Now he wakes from more than a thousand years of cryosleep into a future where the technological civilization he knew has collapsed, dragons are real, and a strange force called Eluna has changed life on the planet forever. Sent into the future with a mission to restore what was lost, Steele is ordered to recover a mysterious artifact known as the remnant, a device tied to the energy source that once powered the world. However, the wilderness outside his cryo facility is deadly, and his own body is failing in ways he can't stop. Along the way he joins a cult and helps a talking fox steal a dragon's body, like one does. The fox, who claims to be the scientist responsible for the cataclysm in the first place, warns him that the mission may not save the world at all. It may doom it. Now Steele must choose: trust the father whose legacy brought him here, or trust the scientist who broke the world once already. Together they must navigate a beautiful and hostile world of forest cities, buried laboratories, and ancient relics, trying not to accidentally wipe out what remains of humanity. The wrong choice, made with the right intentions, nearly rendered the planet uninhabitable once.
